SharingIrish.com closes down

A recent update about SharingIrish.com has been passed on to us. SharingIrish.com was a private members forum where they shared details of GAA torrents. They were well known for sharing GAA games and The Sunday Game. Our sources cite that the owners were getting a bit tired of the effort of saving & uploading the games week in, week out. And they decided to quit. We haven’t heard any rumours about legal threats from RTÉ or the GAA.

Alternatives to SharingIrish

One alternative for watching the GAA games (but not live) is a Canadian Broadcasters YouTube Channel.

For example they have All Ireland Football Championship. Donegal – Galway 01.08.15

Other options

You could also shell out for GAAGO, the legal way of getting GAA online. They have just announced a price drop for subscriptions to the rest of this years Championships.

When you consider that a lot of Irish bars in the US charge a cover fee of around $20 to watch a game, this may be a worthwhile alternative. Most bars in Europe & Asia tend to show the games for free, but we’ve also heard reports of the bars just buying the GAAGO and streaming the games.

We’d like to hear from you about how you watch GAA games from abroad.
