Ireland’s 6 nations 2016 schedule
Here is the schedule for the 2016 RBS 6 nations rugby. All times are in GMT. Ireland have their opening game of the tournament against Wales, at home at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday the 7th of February 2016.
France vs. Italy on Saturday the 6th of February at Stade France is the opening game of the 2016 tournament. Last year they had the opening game on a Friday, but this has now reverted to like it was in previous years and is on a Saturday.
One new fact of trivia for 2016 is that the Millennium Stadium is now to be known as the Principality Stadium. It’s the same venue, now it’s sponsored by a Welsh credit union.
Home vs Away
- Our home games are : Wales, Italy
- Our away games are : France, England & Scotland
We have 2 home games, these would be classed as the easier of the games.
As with previous years all the final games will happen on the same day, Saturday March 19th. Ireland will take on Scotland, at home and it will be the second last game of the entire series. England close out the tournament against France at Stade de France which very well may be the deciding game. It’s sure to come down to the wire like previous years.
