Redbull TV on your Apple TV
Red Bull TV live programming, films, shows and clips are now available to Apple TV users worldwide for free. Launched in 2010, Red Bull TV features “inspirational entertainment programming” designed to promote the beverage and its high-action brand image. Content includes live global events and sports, music and lifestyle entertainment.
You may have noticed this week that there is a new channel on your Apple TV, namely the one from Red Bull. We are not entirely sure if it will be available in all regions, but it does seem to show up for a high number of users. The content is mostly the RedBull sponsored athletes doing crazy and dangerous sports.
Apple continues to add functionality and channels to their AppleTV product , in the past month they have added such channels as Bloomberg, Watch ABC, Crackle, and KORTV and last year SkyNews. We are not entirely sure what the business model for adding channels to Apple TV is, whether Apple pays for the content to be shown (unlikely) or the broadcaster pays for their content to be shown (more likely).
If you don’t see the RedBull TV on your Apple TV, you may have to update to the latest version of the firmware.

Not a Redbull Fan ?
Most people don’t know that you can customise the home screen on your Apple TV. To hide the Red Bull TV button, simply go to Settings, click General the click Parent Controls and set to RedBull TV to hidden.
Next steps for Apple TV
Fan sites have reported that Apple have added a new dedicated area for the Apple TV, called Shop Apple TV. This new section is listed directly from the front page of the Apple online store, where previously it was hidden in the depths of the shop under accessories. Does this mean that Apple will be extending their range of Apple TV offerings, the word on the street says it’s quite likely.
